So a few months back I read a New Adult Urban Fantasy/Romance novel called Dawn Till Dusk, and then I was like ... yeah sure why not, lets make a fae alongside the shifter character I created. This is Caoimhe, a fae and yes ... she has her very own story that I will get to ... one day lol. Anyway, here's what I got. She's a fae princess. It was said after all the magical creatures were discovered and before all of them were forced to move and live within their own city on an island somewhere, the fae royal family were unfortunately gunned down by anti magic humans. The royal family was in the process to utter a spell to send all the fae in the United Kingdom to the island city, as they didn't trust the humans all that well, but before they even had a chance, humans hid away among the people, and fired upon them. One royal, amongst all the shooting, was able to utter the spell to spirit the faes to safety, the princess, but after that event, she was never seen again. They said she died of her wounds, but actually happened, was that she went into hiding, thinking that it was for the best for her people, but soon she comes to realize, that shifters ruling the city, may not be good after all. She remained in hiding also because the shifter royal family is looking for her, most likely to kill her because her status as princess is actually much higher than theirs.
Now to the drawing itself. I freaking LOVE how this piece came out. Especially that sunrise. I'm proud of it. Now, here she has black wings because in the book I read, the faes only have black, feathered wings. In their own story, I'm forgoing those wings in favor of the fairy wings. They will be all white, sparkly, and shiny, and a sign that she is of the royal blood. Oh man I so can't wait to write this one. I'm going to have a lot of fun with it.
